100% Cotton Quilt Batting
Our Nine Acres Cotton Quilt Batting is made from 100% U.S. long-staple cotton, carefully carded, crosslapped, and needle-punched into a smooth, even, consistent batting.
Free from scrim, resins, and binders, it remains soft and breathable while allowing needles to glide easily. Quilting can be stitched up to 8 inches apart without compromising stability, yet remains soft even with detailed or dense stitching. Shrinkage is minimal, approximately 3% with cool wash and dry.
Available in three carefully designed lofts:
- Summer Light Weight, 3.5 oz per square yard
- Autumn Mid-Weight, 4.5 oz per square yard
- Winter Heavier Weight, 5.5 oz per square yard
Each weight offers beautiful drape and lasting softness. Choose the weight that fits your quilt, knowing the quality is always the same.
80/20 Cotton/Poly Quilt Batting
Nine Acres 80/20 Quilt Batting blends 80% U.S. long-staple cotton with 20% fine-denier polyester to add strength and durability while preserving a soft, cotton feel.
This blend offers excellent shape retention and slightly reduced shrinkage, approximately 1% to 3% with cool wash and dry, making it an excellent choice for quilts that will be used and washed often.
Like our cotton batting, it is free from scrim, resins, and binders and available in Summer, Autumn, and Winter lofts.
